What does the Consultant Enablement Program offer you?

Examples of work and experiences included:

The Data Analyst is a consultative technical position working with large enterprise customers who will implement data management solutions on Liaison’s Alloy Data Management platform. We are looking for a Data Analyst who will interact directly with Liaison’s clients to consult, design and build solutions to address their data management challenges. The analyst will build, modify, and maintain data entities based on customer requirements and Data Governance program initiatives. This position requires working well in teams, as well as independently on projects. As a customer facing position, excellent communication (oral and written), customer expectation management, responsiveness to customer needs, being proactive in anticipating technical challenges, being meticulous and having a consultative approach are extremely important to be successful in this position.

The ideal candidate will be responsive to customer needs, take a proactive approach in anticipating technical and political challenges throughout a project, have great organization skills with attention to detail, and will take a consultative approach to solving complex Data Management issues.

 

Professional Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years experience working at an enterprise level with customer data domain

  • 1-3 years experience in Pharmaceutical commercial operations industry with an understanding of full data management lifecycle

  • 1-3 years experience in establishing a Data Stewardship and/or Data Quality program

  • Must have excellent documentation skills and demonstrate proficiency in developing artifacts for Data Quality programs to support Data Governance initiatives

  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems; must be decisive and action-oriented with the ability to function well under pressure

  • Strong Background in SQL, Excel, and Query builder tools

  • Experience in Data Management tools for managing metadata

  • Experience in complex business logic and decision analysis

  • Programming experience in Java scripting; JSON

  • Experience with ETL, Data Profiling, MDM tools is a plus

  • Experience with data standards like HL7, CDISC, IHE, EDI

  • Any Data Management, Data Quality or MDM certification(s) is a plus

  • Experience with analyzing data in BI tools like Tableau

  • Experience with Data Modelling tools like ERwin, Visio, ER/Studio, Oracle Designer

 Personal Qualifications:

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to capture current data management requirements and objectives from different stakeholders that define their needs.

  • Define and document data management policies and procedures, standards, and metrics to support a global customer Data Governance program.

  • Establish data quality processes and compliance with master data standards for data domains.

  • Troubleshoot issues with data quality as identified by customers.

  • Perform activities to address data extraction, data validation, data cleanings, data harmonization, business logic, exception handling and required data syndication to support customer MDM requirements.

  • Design and build a data inventory including field definitions, ontologies, list of values (LOVs), and mappings as requested by the customer and defined by requirements.

  • Understand key data relationships and customer data domains as it relates to taxonomies and ontology.

  • Collaborate with business process owners, data producers and data consumers to get an understanding of current processes and systems that has a direct impact on the quality of the enterprise data.

  • Work with Data Architects to define and maintain a customer data model for MDM and Analytics solutions.

  • Work with stakeholders and the technical team to establish and manage match/merge that identify duplicate data across data sources and align required action such survivorship and trust rules in accordance with the organization’s data governance procedures.

  • Work with Vocabulary Management Systems to define, source, import and maintain business entity definitions and its relevant reference data including data subscription services.

  • Assist customers with validating data integration from operational systems to future solutions.
